Position Title: Jr. Ancillary Specialist
Job Type: Full time, non exempt.
Salary Range: $50,000-$60,000
Location: This is an in-office position based in our West Los Angeles office, with a hybrid option available in the future.
About the Role:
We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Jr. Ancillary Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your expertise in ancillary furnishings while contributing to projects that shape inspiring spaces. Responsibilities:
- Stay informed on the latest trends in ancillary furnishings and design.
- Develop an introductory understanding of product offerings from various manufacturers, including Herman Miller and Knoll.
- Assist in project kick-off meetings to gather project scope and objectives.
- Collaborate with team members to process architectural CAD files for ancillary furniture specification and space planning.
- Support the creation of detailed space plans and specifications tailored to client needs.
- Assist with managing vendor relationships, including obtaining quotes and tracking project timelines.
- Help generate accurate Bills of Materials (B.O.M.) for ancillary product specifications.
- Verify pricing and specification accuracy through careful reviews.
- Prepare basic data and compliance information for ancillary furnishings (ADA, clearance requirements, etc.).
- Support the preparation of installation drawings, including tagged furniture plans and detailed notes for on-site execution.
- Provide fresh ideas and assist with recommending innovative ancillary products for client consideration.
- Contribute to visual sign-off documents and client presentations, as needed.
- Assist Sr. Project Designers and Sr. Ancillary Specialists with client presentations or meetings as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of ancillary products and design trends.
- Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience with commercial furnishings.
- Prefer familiarity in specifying contract furniture.
- Well-versed in AutoCAD, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with CET and other 3D visualization tools is a plus.
